COSMOS Team Participated in Silicon Harlem’s 5th Annual Next-Gen Tech Conference

Silicon Harlem, COSMOS’ community partner, held its 5th Annual Next-Gen Tech Conference on Oct. 26, 2018 at the National Black Theatre. Emily Ford from Columbia Engineering Outreach presented and shared her thoughts in session “Re/Think: Education”. Columbia Electrical Engineering Ph.D. students Tingjun Chen and Manav Kohli presented a demo on the open-access full-duplex radio in the ORBIT testbed (developed within the Columbia FlexICoN project), which will serve as one of the pilot experiments in the COSMOS testbed. High school teachers Joel Bianchi from Frederick Douglass Academy I, Melissa Sanchez from Salome Urena Leadership Academy (MS 322), and Richerd Foster from Parkside Preparatory Academy (MS2), demonstrated the COSMOS education toolkit developed in Summer 2018.
